Hong Kong's Cathay Pacific Airways has agreed to buy 30 Airbus aircraft for about USD$7.82 billion, it said on Thursday, amid a revival in international traffic.
Swire and Air China, which together own about 72 percent of the airline, have approved the transaction, Cathay said in a statement to the Hong Kong stock exchange.
The airline had already said in August that it intended to buy the A350-900 aircraft.
